2/5 - Snow Tubing 2011 (Bears on Ice)

Join the members of DCBC for our annual Bear Snow Tubing event at Liberty Mountain Ski Resort. This year, we will be snow tubing AFTER dinner. So NIGHT TIME SNOW TUBING!! WOOHOO!! NO CROWDS! LOL!! So hang out in the afternoon, then off to dinner, then snow tubing, then back to the hotel for the Legend...wait for it...DARY hotel room party. BYOB and snacks. Who's room it will be in this year is yet to be decided. So meet at the hotel first, then we can tour around/shop/and whatever before check-in.

The Hotel we have chosen this year is the Quality Inn on Steinwehr in Gettysburg.

Bring your swim trunks because it has an indoor pool, and the HOT breakfast is included.

$65 / room up to 5 occupants. $75 for more than 5 occupants.

3:30pm - Early dinner at Hoss's Steak and Sea House. 1140 York Road
Gettysburg, PA 17325. Some of us loved this place last year and some didn't but it's really to only place in the area that can accommodate a large group. It's about 2-3 miles from the hotel.

Ski Liberty is about a 30 minute drive from the restaurant. I would suggest bringing what you need with you for tubing and head straight to Ski Liberty.

Tickets are sold for sessions starting at the top of each hour. Please go directly to Boulder Ridge to purchase your tubing tickets. Tubing tickets are not available at the main resort ticket windows. When you pull into Ski Liberty you will see signs to Boulder Ridge. Please arrive by 6:30 so we can start at 7pm. There is a good chance that the parking lot at Boulder Ridge will be full so be prepared to park in the main lots and take the shuttle up. When you purchase your tickets you will have the choice of a one or two hour session. The two hour session is the best deal and is what most of us have gone for in past years. $21.00 for a one hour session/$25.00 for a two hour session. It is very important that you arrive before 7pm just in case you have to take the shuttle up to Boulder Ridge.
